Cloud and hosting provider Hetzner has once again been named to this year’s “Bavaria’s Best 50,” ranking among the 50 fastest-growing companies in Bavaria, Germany. This marks the sixth time the company has been honored with this award from the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy. Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger presented the “Growth Lion” award to CEO Stephan Konvickova and Spokesperson Christian Fitz on 30 July during a ceremony at Schleißheim Palace in Munich. Aiwanger emphasized that the award winners represent growth and the successful overcoming of economic challenges.
With “Bavaria’s Best 50,” the Free State of Bavaria annually honors owner-managed small and medium-sized enterprises that stand out for their above-average growth, entrepreneurial success, and the creation of new jobs.
Since its founding in 1997, Hetzner has grown into one of Europe’s largest hosting providers. The company operates its own data centers in Germany and Finland, as well as locations in Singapore and the U.S., and continuously invests in expanding its infrastructure.
“Being named to the ‘Bayern’s Best 50’ for the sixth time is a special honor for us and a recognition of our successful course. Above all, it is a tribute to the outstanding work of our entire team. This award motivates us to continue achieving international success through innovation and team spirit while remaining committed to Bavaria as a business location and further expanding our presence here,” says Christian Fitz.
This commitment is also reflected in the company’s most recent investments. For example, the Hetzner Campus, a new corporate headquarters with space for around 500 employees, is currently under construction in Gunzenhausen. With this new building, Hetzner is clearly reaffirming its Franconian roots and laying the groundwork for further growth at its headquarters.
