The German cloud provider and data center operator Hetzner received Gold at the Service Provider Awards 2025 in the new category “Superscaler”. Superscalers are large cloud providers with a regional focus that offer users an alternative to US hyperscalers, especially when data protection and compliance are important to them.
The renowned prize recognizes the best cloud and IT companies every year in twelve categories. To determine the winner, the media company Vogel IT-Medien organizes a large, annual reader’s choice survey on their various IT portals. This year, over 17,000 IT experts participated in it.
Use cases for modern businesses require flexible and powerful IT environments to allow them to reliably operate advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and big data analyses. Superscalers such as Hetzner provide the necessary infrastructure for this. They are able to deliver such services on a large scale in compliance with data protection regulations.
