The German web hosting company and data center operator Hetzner Online has just unveiled its new dedicated server, which not only delivers power, but also an impressive level of efficiency and exceptionally low energy footprint. The AX42 is ideal for anyone who is looking for a budget-friendly server.
The AX42’s power stems from the AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 8700GE Octa-Core “Phoenix 1” (Zen4) CPU; its 8 cores and 16 threads with Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) cut through workloads like butter, even if they are compute-heavy and require parallelization. The virtualization function AMD-V ensures smooth virtualization. In combination with the AMD Ryzen™ AI engine, the CPU opens a world of possibilities for artificial intelligence applications - streamlining multitasking, boosting productivity, and supporting users with other innovations while they tackle tough use cases.
The Dedicated Server AX42 makes a quick meal of tasks with its 2 x 32 GB of DDR5 ECC UDIMM RAM. Two 512 GB Gen4 NVMe SSDs in a software RAID 1 configuration provide users with secure storage and plenty of it. And, naturally, customers with more requirements can add more memory or storage to suit their needs.
Despite all of the advantages of the AX42, Hetzner has priced it very low compared to other dedicated servers on the market: just € 46.00 a month or € 0.0737 an hour. (Users pay the hourly price until they reach the monthly price, which is the maximum price.) There is a small setup fee of € 39.00. The AX42 is available in two Hetzner locations, in both Falkenstein, Germany and Helsinki, Finland.
