Regular Performance:
Flexible and powerful
The flexible plan with the
best price-performance ratio
With the Regular Performance plan, you get a cloud server with high availability based on shared resources.
It is particularly suitable for web applications, small databases, and test and development environments that do not require maximum computing power on a permanent basis.
Compared to the Cost-Optimized plan, you benefit from newer hardware generations and thus from higher overall CPU performance.
Flexibility meets performance
The possible applications are extremely diverse. The plan is particularly suitable for services with a manageable number of users, such as families, clubs, or small businesses. It is especially useful for applications with varying workloads, such as groupware, shared media storage, or private blogs.
Development teams can also use it for Kubernetes clusters in development and staging environments and test new features without having to pay for expensive hardware.
Shared resources enable particularly favorable prices.
Perfect for families, clubs, or small businesses (e.g., groupware, CMS/blogs)
Suited for workloads that can handle variable processor performance.
The latest generations from Intel® and AMD deliver more performance than the cost-optimized plan.
Cloud comparison: save on your cloud expenses
Hetzner Cloud is the winner in terms of price-performance ratio
The independent price-performance check shows that Hetzner offers significantly more computing power per dollar compared to its competitors. The analysis is based on objective benchmark data from sparecores.com and highlights how efficiently our cloud servers operate in relation to their costs.
Other useful add-ons are Snapshots and Floating IPs.

Frequently asked questions
-
How do you bill your servers?
Servers have both a monthly price cap and a price per hour. Your server's bill will never exceed its monthly price cap. If you delete your Cloud Server before the end of the billing month, you will only be billed the hourly rate. We will bill you for each cloud server until you choose to delete them. Even if you aren't actively using your server, we will bill you for it.
-
What is the bandwidth of your Cloud Servers?
The host systems for our Cloud instances all have a redundant 10 Gbits connection. This connection is shared by all instances on the host. We do not offer bandwidth guarantees for our Cloud servers, but you can expect about 300-500 Mbits.
-
Is there a library to access Hetzner Cloud from my programming language?
We currently maintain official open source libraries for Go and Python. You can find libraries for other languages created by the community in our Awesome Hetzner Cloud List. You are also welcome to develop something yourself! Take a look at our API documentation at docs.hetzner.cloud.
-
Will you add additional locations in different geographic regions?
We have continuously expanded our cloud locations in recent years. In addition to Germany and Finland, we now also have international locations in Ashburn, Virginia; Hillsboro, Oregon (USA) and Singapore. We are constantly examining possible future locations. If you don’t want to miss the opening of a new location, subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on our social media channels.
-
Do you plan to add x feature?/Will you add more features?
We want to keep adding new features and services and are always interested in hearing from you on how we can improve our product! There are several ways you can provide us with product feedback or feature requests:
- Via our forum: please post your request in the Hetzner Cloud Board
- Via email: send us your ideas to cloud-feedback@hetzner.com.
Unfortunately, we cannot give you a detailed roadmap of what we are working on. However, you can keep up to date by following us on our social media channels.

Can I install Windows?
Right now we are focusing on support for Linux as an operating system. If you wish, you may install Windows on your own, and we have seen successful installations done. However, we will not provide any support for Windows.

What linux distributions do you support?
Hetzner supports a range of common Linux distributions: Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, CentOS, Rocky Linux and AlmaLinux. You can choose these when creating Cloud Servers or have them preinstalled on Dedicated Servers; you can also install any other OS manually via KVM/ISO.
