• Gunzenhausen/Germany – 17. April 2023

German hoster and data center operator Hetzner Online got a shiny new two-sided coin in its collection of dedicated servers: the new AX102. It has one of the most popular processors on the market, the AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D with 16 cores and 32 threads and Zen 4 architecture. The special asymmetric design gives users a pair of pros and enhanced, cutting-edge overall performance. One set of 8 cores are mounted with AMDs innovative 3D V-Cache technology for minimized latency and workloads that require more memory; the other group of 8 cores is designed for tasks that require higher clock speeds. A gigantic L3 cache also accelerates data queries.

Hetzner has mounted the AX102 with 128 GB of DDR5 ECC RAM. In addition to the classic ECC (error correction code), which protects data both on the memory module and during transfer, the new DDR5 memory generation uses the on-die ECC method. This method carries out independent error correction directly on the DRAM chip, giving you greatly optimized reliability and data integrity.

The AX102 Dedicated Server comes with twin 1.92 TB Datacenter Gen4 NVMe SSDs, making it the perfect foundation for professional use-cases, especially anything requiring complex calculations like CAD/CAM, machine learning, 3D rendering, big data, and many more resource-intense applications.

The more efficient and therefor sustainable server compared to its predecessor, is available for as little as € 109 plus a one-off setup fee of € 39 at the Falkenstein location.
